The number of people that would like to experience an orchestral concert has hit a five-year peak - up from 79% in 2018 to 84% in 2023 – according to new audience research from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO).
On Tuesday 15 August, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra made its annual appearance at the BBC Proms with a sell-out concert of Ligeti, Beethoven and Shostakovich, with Music Director Vasily Petrenko conducting and soloist Alexandre Kantorow, who made his Proms debut.
