The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's community and education programme, RPO Resound, has a new name for its Brent-based project focused on mental health and wellbeing. Formerly known as Brent Music for Mental Health, the project is now called Sound Sanctuary.

Sound Sanctuary uses the power of group music-making and creative composition to work with participants to support their creative expression, find confidence and build connections.

Community sessions are already underway, with events at Willesden Green Library this month and a visit to Ashford Place planned for October, as well as our successful monthly partnership with Brent Mencap working with groups of disabled adults due to continue into 2025.

The project doesn't stop there! Further activities are planned over the next year, including activities with teenagers, a secure unit and a refugee hotel as well as our trainee leadership scheme which is run
