On 29 October 2023, we were thrilled to welcome a group to our Icons Rediscovered: Elgar’s Symphony No.1 concert at the Southbank Centre with Vasily Petrenko. They were taking part in Creative Playground Crawley’s ‘Come With Us’ project - an initiative which encourages Crawley locals to "experience new things" by joining the Creative Playground staff in attending shows, exhibitions and creative events in Crawley, Brighton, London and other places in Sussex and Surrey.

For 30 years, RPO Resound has been at the forefront of using music-making to enrich the lives of people in communities across the UK and internationally. 2023 marked RPO Resound’s 30th Anniversary, and we explore some of its life-changing projects that will continue in 2024 and beyond, hearing from musicians, practitioners and participants about the impact RPO Resound has had, and looking ahead to this next exciting chapter.

2023 saw the Orchestra perform in breathtaking concert halls around both the UK and the rest of the world, as well as in schools, cathedrals, car parks and shopping centres, bringing the thrill of orchestral music to audiences old and new.
