RPO Resound visits Thorpe Park for ACS International Schools' STEAM Day

On Tuesday 4 October the RPO's Community and Education team, RPO Resound, visited Thorpe Park alongside 8,553 schoolchildren for a day celebrating STEAM education - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. RPO musicians lead activities that engaged the children with orchestral music with interactive performances, trying out musical instruments and having opportunities to make their own compositions.

A statement on Arts Council England's NPO announcement

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is pleased to have secured from Arts Council England (ACE) an offer of funding that is in line with previous years. The Orchestra will now work with ACE to confirm a funding agreement and programme of activity that will begin in April 2023.

In Autumn 2021, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s (RPO) community and education team began an eighteen-month pilot programme of creative music activity supporting Brent residents experiencing mental health challenges as part of the Baring Foundation’s Creatively Minded and Ethnically Diverse funding stream.
