Second Violin

Peter Graham has been a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Second Violin section for over ten years.

His passion for the violin emerged when he was a teenager studying at the junior department of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, under Simon Fischer and Kyra Humphreys. He then went on to study with Dr Felix Andrievsky for five years at the Royal College of Music. This was where Peter’s passion for orchestral playing really blossomed, gaining invaluable experience and huge respect for the repertoire.

After a period as a freelancer, working with many orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, London Mozart Players, Sinfonia of London and John Wilson Orchestra. Peter was awarded his position in the RPO in 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. He is very fortunate to be part of an incredible section and to perform in some of the greatest concert halls both at home and abroad on tour.

Peter loves spending time with his family when he's not performing and is kept very busy by his two young children.

Peter gratefully acknowledges the support of his Chair Patrons, the Ericsson Family.
