The Lullaby Project works with parents in challenging circumstances and enables them to compose bespoke lullabies alongside professional musicians, giving space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings about their children and young people and helping to enhance the bond between them by creating something that can be treasured forever.
The Lullaby Project was originally devised by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute in the US and was first brought to the UK in 2017 by the Irene Taylor Trust and RPO Resound. Over the past eight years, the Lullaby Project has worked across England and during 2024 we are delighted that the team will be working with individuals from the criminal justice system and community support groups in the West Midlands, Manchester and London as well as Northamptonshire, Hull and Reading as part of a wider programme of residencies supported by Arts Council England. Find out more about this project from our partner, the Irene Taylor Trust.
This project is generously supported by Mr and Mrs Richard and Claire Bruce and Arts Council England.
