Workshop leader/composer Sam Mason drew lyrics and musical ideas for the Brighton anthem, Dare to Dream/Queens of the Field, from pupils at Hill Park School, Patcham High and Patcham Junior Schools, visitors to Brighton Museum, members of the New Note Orchestra, A Seat At The Table and the Network for International Women. Sam also ran a session at Hove Junior School where pupils created rhythms by bouncing footballs!
There were several performances of Dare to Dream during a local match-day Fan Party, with pupils from St Bernadette’s and Middlestreet primary schools joining the RPO, before musicians and singers from Patcham High and Junior schools and singers from Brighton’s Choir With No Name took to the stage.
