The RPO and workshop leader/composer Alice Phelps worked with community groups and schools across Wigan & Leigh to devise their anthem, Something to Believe In. Workshops were held for local community groups at The Turnpike in Leigh and The Museum of Wigan Life. 11 primary schools got involved in workshops at Leigh Sports Village (with a view across the stadium) and the RPO and Alice also worked with various community choirs, Astley Unlimited Brass Band and Astley Youth Band,, as well as young musicians from Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Something to Believe In was performed by the RPO with members of different community choirs from across Wigan & Leigh at a match-day Fan Party.
